SCENT OF THE DAY
Dior's perfumer François Demachy created Sauvage in 2015 around the idea of wide-open spaces: a desert at dusk, a blue sky going dark. The original eau de toilette was crisp and electric. In 2018 he followed it with the Eau de Parfum, the same man after the sun goes down.
The bergamot is still there. Now it's the same man after the sun goes down.
The bergamot is still there, radiant and juicy, but now it's wrapped in lavender, star anise and nutmeg, with a soft vanilla glow underneath and the signature ambroxan trail. The edges are rounder and the effect is warmer and a little more intimate, without giving up any of the swagger.
It works almost anywhere: dinner, drinks or the office. It's most magnetic in fall and spring evenings. Two sprays on the neck and you're done. Sauvage has never needed help being noticed.
